Shotgun Stories has won several awards at various film festivals including Official Selection at the Berlin Film Festival, Grand Jury Prize (New American Cinema) at the Seattle International Film Festival, Official Selection at Tribeca Film Festival, and Narrative Feature Jury Prize at the Austin Film Festival, among others. It is an astounding film. It is heavy. It is morose. It's a work of art. And it was written and directed by a friend and fellow Austinite, Jeff Nichols.
