Short films are an art form, in my opinion. When done right, they challenge the authority of feature length films and assert the validity of the art form—in any size or shape. Connected, a Danish short film, hits the mark when it comes to holding the viewer’s attention. It may not be a film masterpiece. Indeed, it has its flaws as any film does. But I think the film makers have done an excellent job transporting the viewer to another time and place. It tells a story with a moral. And I am all for smart sci-fi, any time I can get my hands on it. Here is the official word on Connected.
Plot Summary:
Set in the distant future, Connected is a story about survival and greed with a post apocalyptic wasteland as its backdrop. Survivors of an unknown disaster shuffle through a desolate landscape, as it quickly becomes clear that not everybody has the strength to survive.
