My friend Andy was kind enough to loan Watchmen to me a few weeks ago, and I’ve been carefully studying its pages ever since. I should have a review up in another week or so. Meanwhile, Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything sits there on my nightstand. Patiently awaiting my attention.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Tears for Fears lately, and I thought that I’d share two of my favorite things at once. This cover by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews is from the film Donnie Darko. Tears for Fears has been quoted as saying that this version is superior to their own. It’s even made them rethink the way they perform it live. If you’ve never seen Donnie Darko, chunk it in your Netflix queue right away. I hope you enjoy the song (and the movie should you decide to check it out).
